Small Art of Kindness: Concertina Books at Circle Library

Small, everyday acts of kindness that make a big difference might include: cooking a meal, planting a seed, helping with a chore, looking after a pet, caring for someone poorly or simply smiling at someone.

In this fun family drawing workshop, we’ll talk about acts of kindness, practice drawing some of the things we've come up with, then create concertina books to illustrate simple kindness journeys. Concertina books are easy to make and help teach an understanding of story sequences, as well as reinforcing a love of books and reading.

Accompanying adults are encouraged to get involved with their children’s drawings and concertina book-making!

This workshop is led by Mark Pembrey of Quickdraw Comics Club, supported by LibraryOn and the London Borough of Sutton Neighbourhood Fund, Cultural Services and Public Health.

This is a free event but booking is essential.
